Tulum Ruins, Mexico

Even though Tulum is a smaller site than Chichen Itza or Ek Balam, it is unique  and popular because of its location right on the Caribbean Sea. In the image you can see just how close the ruins are to the water; the cove is actually part of the city.

Tulum simply is beautiful and there are many opportunities for photographers. The sea breeze on a hot and humid day is also nothing to sneeze at.

  1. Don’t forget to mention the masses of beautiful iguanas that call the Tulum ruins home! Some great photo ops there!

  2. Yup, that’s very true. A visit to Tulum won’t be complete without seeing an iguana.
