China Town Traffic Jam

Ever tried to drive in China Town, NYC during the day? It’s fun, I tell ya. You should really avoid it at all costs if you can and rather walk, although even that can look more like an obstacle course than a stroll. If you have time, it’s definitely worth exploring – just be prepared.

  1. lol. Yea, I have never tried driving through chinatown, but I could imagine what a headache it is. Although, people say driving through Manhattan is scary too, but I didn’t find it a problem at all. I would actually suspect that walking in that neighborhood is a greater problem. As you mentioned, too many people, too little space, and way too many shops that are trying to sell you all the junk in the world, literally.

    • Driving in Manhattan was okay. What annoyed me was that there was no way to stop or park your car, even for only a few minutes. That happened to us when we tried to check into our hotel. We finally ended up just leaving the car on the street while checking in.
And you’re right, walking in China Town is an interesting experience to say the least and probably even more dangerous than driving there. But we got used to it after the first day.
