Sleeping Baby Seal

If you ever find yourself cruising along California Highway 1, make sure to stop at Elephant Seal Point (north of San Simeon, near Hearst Castle). It is home to over 10,000 elephant seals. If you get lucky, you can witness some pretty incredible scenes. Young seals playing, older males fighting for dominance, and moms tending to their pups.

We always make it a point to stop by when we are in the area and this time the seals were pretty active. As was the crowd of onlookers. But that didn’t seam to bother this baby seal. Throughout the whole time we were there, it only moved its  flipper from time to time to scratch its belly or nose. Isn’t it adorable?
